We’ll tour the spaces of some of the most creatively open people I know. They’ll share their lives and spaces with you. You’ll be invited into their homes, their working sanctuaries, their enormously varied creative spaces — their Sweet Spots.

One of my favorite things to do while growing up was to walk around our neighborhood at dusk — that magical time when it’s dark enough to turn the lights on, but folks haven’t closed their curtains yet. I thrilled at the peek into the glowing windows. I loved the way my brain felt; getting ideas felt like an interior brain massage. Here’s my grown-up version, in the homes of some of my favorite people — people who give new meaning to the word Creative.

Each of us is a window where life shines through.

Get inside the fabulous creative spaces of extraordinary artists-of-life.

These inspiring conscious creatives including NY Times best-selling authors Gay and Kathlyn Hendrickswill let you in on the sources of their creativity — and provide you with exercises and inspiration to fuel your own!

Meet 12 truly inspiring people who have learned how to incorporate creativity and the art of being present into their daily lives.

More than just taking time for creativity and being present, our guest teachers are actually allowing creativity and presencing to guide and influences their choices in every moment.

Through stirring stories, irresistible photos and a collection of short videos, each class will nourish your soul and motivate your own creative processes, while opening you more and more to your own Sweet Spots. Come, explore the possibilities.

The videos and photos that accompany the live audio-classes will highlight favorite Sweet Spots, including what it is that makes them so sweet, what the component parts are, what is it about them that resonate so nutritiously for them — and how you can adopt, or friendly-cannibalize them, as my friend and mentor Katie Hendricks calls it.

Connect with like-minded people who share your passion for creative exploration and the making of beauty, and let your creative spirit soar!

It would probably astound each of us beyond measure to be let into our neighbor’s
mind and to find out how different the scenery is from that of our own.

-William James

Come and let yourself be inspired by the lush and verdant scenery inside our guest teachers’ minds.

What is it that creative people — and aspiring creatives — want? Today, the answer is,

A spot that fully calls forth, supports and celebrates my own
true Essence Self, the creative spirit, the open flow I know
I am at my core… a spot where this can be easy and natural.

Many of us are more committed than ever before to creating spaces — literal AND metaphorical — in which to cultivate our best thinking, our buried-treasure talents, our almost-forgotten dreams and fascinations formed in childhood — and to tap into that greater downstream whoosh of creative life force —The Sweet Spot.

In The Sweet Spot Salon, you’ll partake of a beautiful gathering of amazing guest teachers — each weekly topic is designed to celebrate life as play, life as art, and to foster unfettered connection to your own unique downstream creative flow, your very experience of aliveness. THIS is your Sweet Spot.

The audio classes are deliciously supplemented with short Sweet Spot videos, made at home by each of the guest teachers.

You’ll also see an album of Sweet Spot photos posted by the guest teachers. Videos and audios will be available on the Sweet Spot Cafe Community site.

Whether it’s the sweet spot of your studio, kitchen, or garden, of your clothing choices, of relationship and love, of self-nurturing, of the perfect color, of the boundaries of your own skin, of your full breath, or the inventive cauldron of a home that is a series of creative zones, each more compelling and delightful than the last… it’s all Sweet Spot.

These classes are richly revealing, opening a portal into some brand new possibilities for more widely inhabiting your life, your home, your body — your Sweet Spot.

In experiencing these kindred spirits and their Sweet Spots, I trust you will find ample inspiration and ideas that you can integrate to your own Sweet Spots immediately.

Enjoy a learning environment unlike any other, including open access to:

  • 10 fascinating live weekly classes with 12 guest teachers — attend one, some or all
  • Video tours of the guest teachers’ own Sweet Spots
  • Sweet Spot photo albums compiled by each guest teacher
  • Guided experiential exercises on each call to bring the learning right into your cells
  • A unique interactive online community forum where you can post photos and videos of your own spaces and get feedback from me, the fab guest teachers, and your fellow participants
  • Recordings of the classes — in case you miss any of them live

This experiential learning series will inspire you and provide you with the tools to release more of your own Sweet Spot juju and creative aliveness — in your life and your home.

According to interviewee Kathlyn Hendricks, best-selling co-author of Conscious Loving:

I find the idea of The Sweet Spot Salon to be pretty darn fabulous,
especially the invitation into peoples’ homes, lives and attitudes.
It’s a new twist on traditional home tours where things are often
staged and so inaccessible. This is a wonderful blend of essence,
genius and voyeurism.

Kathlyn’s husband, best-selling author and Sweet Spot Salon interviewee Gay Hendricks, adds:

The virtual tour component of this interview series will be particularly fun;
we’ll take you around our home and get into the philosophy and spirituality
behind our
decorating choices… where the spirit and the senses meet.

The welcome message of The Sweet Spot Salon Series is that all of our lives can be a vast collection of ever-changing, ever-enlivening Sweet Spots. And may we all drink deeply.

This series is dedicated to my dear friend and soulmate-sister, Indiana Nelson, (1940-10/9/2011), who inspires me beyond words, who still shows me daily what limitless, unfettered, exuberant self-expression REALLY looks like. In her home, literally every corner, every tabletop — in her being, every cell, every molecule is a Sweet Spot, her Sweet Spot. Thank you, Dear One, for helping me dissolve the walls for myself even more.
